Annapurna founder and CEO Megan Ellison said: “The way we tell stories is changing. Today people fall in love with characters and universes, not formats, and we’re excited to leverage Remedy’s beloved, immersive narratives in these new mediums.”

Alan Wake is a psychological horror action-adventure game developed by Remedy Entertainment. The game follows the story of Alan Wake, a best-selling thriller novelist, who travels to the small town of Bright Falls with his wife, Alice, to overcome his writer's block.

However, Alice mysteriously disappears, and Wake finds himself trapped in a nightmarish reality where the events of his latest novel—a novel he can't remember writing—come to life.

As Wake battles dark forces and uncovers the town's secrets, he must piece together the mystery behind his wife's disappearance and the malevolent presence that haunts him.

The game blends intense combat, eerie atmosphere, and a deeply engaging narrative, making it a standout in the horror genre.

Control is a third-person action-adventure game set within the mysterious Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), a secretive government agency that investigates paranormal phenomena, the game follows Jesse Faden as she searches for her missing brother while uncovering the enigmatic mysteries of the Bureau.

Armed with a shapeshifting gun known as the Service Weapon and telekinetic powers, Jesse navigates the ever-shifting, brutalist architecture of the FBC headquarters, known as the Oldest House.

As she delves deeper into the Bureau's secrets, she confronts strange entities and unravels a narrative filled with psychological horror, supernatural elements, and a complex, non-linear story that challenges players' perceptions of reality.

Are you fans of these games and excited to see that adapted into films and TV shows?
