THE WALKING DEAD EP Gives One Word Tease As to What We Can Expect From the Future Films in the Franchise: NINJAS

This past weekend at New York Comic-Con, the panel devoted to all things The Walking Dead had roughly 5,000 fans in attendance, and one question was asked of chief content officer of The Walking Dead universe and series executive producer, Scott Gimple, to which fans received an unexpected answer. One fan asked if Gimple could give away any info regarding what fans could expect from the upcoming spin-off films, and he simply replied, “Ninjas.”

This seems like a strange addition to the world of The Walking Dead. But as Gimple later expanded on his comment, it feels like it may have been misleading. He said later that his response had been “terrible,” and said that the films will travel to new places. He also added:

“There are a lot of things that have been going on in The Walking Dead outside of these characters’ imaginations, of what they know. We will be exploring this through the movie, through Rick Grimes, and even beyond that, opening up the world of The Walking Dead.”

Still pretty vague, but it seems like the series, its upcoming spin-off series, and the future films have slowly trickled out bits of info, and as they are nearing closer, it’s fun to build the intrigue. We have a lot packed into the next few months with the 10th season that just started, and all that is in the works. Are you looking forward to reuniting with Rick Grimes? I know I am!
