THE WALKING DEAD: THE ONES WHO LIVE Gets a New Sneak Peek Trailer and Premiere Date

AMC has released a new teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, which is the upcoming spinoff series that will continue the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) from the original series. It was also announced that the series is set to premiere on February 25, 2024.

There are a lot of fans looking forward to watching this series. The Daryl Dixon spinoff series is actually really good and has been getting praise from the fans, so there’s a good change that this Rick and Michonne series is going to be worth watching as well.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live presents “an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead … And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”

Rick dissappeared during Season 9, in which he was presumed dead, while Gurira’s character left during Season 10. Both later made cameos in the 2022 season finale, hinting at this spin-off.

Lincoln actually talks about Rick’s absence from The Walking Dead universe in the new promo, saying: “People are going, ‘Where have you gone? Our ambition is to have some answers.” Gurira adds: “It’s a really exciting story to tell. These two people are so powerful and together it’s insane. This is some crazy love.”

The series will be available to watch on both AMC and AMC+. Are you excited?
