THE WALKING DEAD: WORLD BEYOND Featurette Offers a Closer Look at the Series and the Story it Tells
We’ve got a new featurette to share with you from AMC that explores and gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Walking Dead spinoff series, The Walking Dead: World Beyond. The promo video provides a closer look at the series, the story that it will tell, and the new characters who fill it.
The video includes interviews with the main cast and crew of the series as well as shows off some new footage.
This is one of several spinoff shows that AMC is producing that will be set in the world of The Walking Dead. The flagship series is coming to an end after Season 11 and that will be followed by The Walking Dead films, a Daryl and Carol series, and the Tales of the Walking Dead anthology series.
The Walking Dead: World Beyond delves into a new mythology and story that “follows the first generation raised in a surviving civilization of the post-apocalyptic world. Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves, and each other. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. But all of them will find the truths they seek.”
The series stars Alexa Mansour as Hope, Nicolas Cantu as Elton, Hal Cumpston as Silas, Annet Mahendru as Huck, Aliyah Royale as Iris, Nico Tortorella as Felix and Joe Holt as Leo Bennett. It will also feature Julia Ormond (Temple Grandin) as Elizabeth, Natalie Gold as Lyla, Al Calderon as Barca, Scott Adsit as Tony, and Ted Sutherland as Percy.
The two-season limited series event is scheduled to make its debut on Sunday, October 4, following the Season 10 finale of The Walking Dead.
