THE WHISPER MAN Trailer Unleashes a Chilling Mystery Starring Robert De Niro, Michelle Monaghan, and Adam Scott
Netflix has released the first trailer for The Whisper Man, and it looks like and unsettling thriller that will hook audiences.
Adapted from Alex North’s New York Times bestselling novel, the film blends psychological suspense, family drama, and a decades-old serial killer mystery into what looks like a seriously intense ride.
Leading the cast is Robert De Niro, alongside Michelle Monaghan and Adam Scott, with the story centering on a desperate father forced to confront both a terrifying present and a painful past.
The film follows a widowed crime writer whose life is shattered when his eight-year-old son is abducted. With nowhere else to turn, he reaches out to his estranged father, a retired police detective, hoping his investigative instincts can help bring the boy home.
As they dig deeper into the disappearance, they uncover disturbing ties to a notorious serial killer known as “The Whisper Man,” whose crimes seemed to be long buried in the past.
The trailer leans into an eerie atmosphere, teasing a mystery that looks packed with tension, emotional conflict, and plenty of unsettling moments.
The movie is directed by James Ashcroft, whose previous film The Rule of Jenny Pen earned praise for its unsettling approach to psychological horror. The screenplay comes from Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer, with Hamish Linklater, Owen Teague, Acston Luca Porto, and Will Brill joining the impressive ensemble cast.
Producing the film are Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Michael Disco, and Kassee Whiting, while Marcus Viscidi, Tim Connors, and Alex Leb serve as executive producers.
Between the cast, the source material, and the creepy tone teased in the trailer, The Whisper Man has all the ingredients for a gripping psychological thriller.
