THE WIRE Gets An Awesome Fan-Made Animated Intro

At this point, it's basically a given that if you care at all about watching great television, you've seen David Simon's superb HBO series The Wire. It took me years to eventually get to the show, but after watching it, it was obvious that it lived up to the hype. It's one of my favorite shows, and now animator Elliot Lim has put together this awesome animated intro set to The Blind Boys of Alabama's "Way Down in The Hole." Man, this makes me want to drop everything and rewatch the whole show again from start to finish.

I designed and animated this piece as an homage to my favorite show of all time, HBO's The Wire. Music: "Way Down in the Hole" / The Blind Boys of Alabama.

Cool bonus fact: Lim also designed and animated the opening credit sequence to FXX's Man Seeking Woman, which is unlike any other TV show opening I can recall:
