THE X-FILES Is Officially Coming Back For Another Season with 10-Episodes!
The truth is out there and Agents Mulder and Scully will continue to search for it in another season of The X-Files! That's right, The X-Files will be back for a 10-episode eleventh season! How freakin' cool is that!
Fox has been trying to work out deals with series creator Chris Carter and stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson since the series revival premiered last year. Well, they managed to work everything out because they're all coming back to continue the story of these characters.
The X-Files is one of my favorite series of all time so I'm beside myself with excitement right now! FBC president David Madden had this to say in a statement regarding the return of the series:
“Iconic characters, rich storytelling, bold creators — these are the hallmarks of great TV shows. And they are some of the reasons why The X-Files has had such a profound impact on millions of fans worldwide. Chris’ creativity, along with the brilliant work of David and Gillian, continue to propel this pop culture phenomenon, and we can’t wait to see what fresh mysteries Mulder and Scully uncover in this next chapter of The X-Files.”
There's no other information to share regarding the series right now, but I can't wait to see what crazy situations Moulder and Scully will find themselves in next!
