The X-Men Series THE GIFTED Has Officially Been Renewed For Season 2
I've actually really enjoyed the Marvel X-Men-inspired series The Gifted. Fox seems to be happy with how it's doing in the ratings because they have officially confirmed that it will be coming back for a second season.
This is great! I'm happy that we will get to see the story continue with these characters. The thirteen episode first season isn't over yet. There will be a two-hour finale set for January 15th.
I wasn't sure what would happen with this show, especially since Disney bought Fox, but it doesn't look like that is going to affect the series... yet. Hopefully, the series will have a long life... if it continues to stay good.
The Gifted is produced by Bryan Singer, Lauren Shuler Donner, Simon Kinberg, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory, and the second season will be a part of the 2018-19 release season.
If you haven't watched The Gifted yet, you should give it a shot! You might like it! The Gifted was developed by Matt Nix (Burn Notice) and this is the synopsis:
Action-adventure family drama THE GIFTED, from Marvel, tells the story of a suburban couple whose ordinary lives are rocked by the sudden discovery that their children possess mutant powers. Forced to go on the run from a hostile government, the family joins up with an underground network of mutants and must fight to survive.
The series also has a great cast that includes Blair Redford, Stephen Moyer, Amy Acker, Jamie Chung, Sean Teale, Natalie Alyn Lind, Emma Dumont, Percy Hynes White, and Coby Bell.
