The YU-GI-OH! TCG Announces New Structure Deck and Core Booster Set for 2021

Update: Added official mock-up images for both products.

Konami has announced two more exciting products for fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG. The first is arriving on July 30 and is the Structure Deck: Cyber Strike. This 48-card Structure Deck is designed to boost both of the strategies that Zane Truesdale uses in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime: Cyber Dragon and Cyberdark. The Main Deck contains 43 cards and the Extra Deck has 5. We know that we’ll get Cyber Dragon, Power Bond, Cyber End Dragon, Cyberdark Impact!, Cyberdark Dragon, Overload Fusion, Cyberdarkness Dragon, and a new Spell Card called Cybernetic Horizon. This could possibly be promising. I question the ability to make the strategies tournament-viable, but it does have some potential for some fun at locals. Each deck will cost $9.99 with the following breakdown:

  • 5 Ultra Rares

  • 3 Super Rares

  • 40 Commons

  • 1 Deluxe Double-Sided Game Mat/Dueling Guide

The other announcement is the core booster set Dawn of Majesty. Releasing on August 13, the 100-card set ($3.99 per pack) features a new Insect World Premiere theme, cards for Stardust Dragon players, and a boost for Gizmek players. The World Premiere cards appear to be all about linking to create an Insect with 3000 ATK with the ability to get up to 5000 ATK or Tribute other Insects for bigger ones. That sounds promising. Stardust Dragon fans will find new Tuners that can Special Summon themselves, the new Majestic form of Stardust Dragon, and more to help bring out this iconic card. Gizmek fans are getting 4 new monsters and a Field Spell.

Here’s everything else that duelists can get excited for:

  • A new theme that can Fusion Summon or Ritual Summon…using the same Spell Card!

  • A new Xyz Summoning theme driven by the taste and texture of sushi!

  • A new theme that continues the story of Fallen of Albaz and Dogmatika Ecclesia that began in Rise of the Duelist!

  • New cards for themes introduced in Genesis Impact, Blazing Vortex, Ancient Guardians, and Lightning Overdrive!

  • A Ritual Spell that lets you Ritual Summon monsters from your Deck instead of your hand!

  • And more!

Here’s the rarity breakdown for Dawn of Majesty:

  • 50 Commons

  • 26 Super Rares

  • 14 Ultra Rares

  • 10 Secret Rares
