The Zombie Film WARM BODIES is Getting a New Series From Director Jonathan Levine
Good news for fans of the zombie romcom Warm Bodies, the 2013 movie that told the story of R, a zombie played by Nicholas Hoult, who is living a fairly empty life until he encounters a living girl (Teresa Palmer) who catches his eye and makes him feel more alive than he has in ages.
It’s a cute and funny movie that I really enjoyed, so I was happy to hear that director Jonathan Levine has signed a first look deal with Lionsgate that includes both movies and TV, and will include a series based on the movie Warm Bodies.
Levine has launched the production banner Megamix with former Lionsgate executive Gillian Bohrer, who worked with Levine on Warm Bodies as well as other films that include the Twilight series, La La Land, and Wonder.
There’s no word as of yet whether they will get the original cast back, but I hope they do. Hoult was really fun in that role. But I know he is a pretty busy guy these days and they may want to get some younger, and maybe less expensive, actors in there for the series.
Are you excited for a Warm Bodies series? Who would you like to see cast?
