There Are No Plans For THE X-FILES Season 12

For those of you who were hoping for another season of The X-Files, I've got some bad news for you. Fox Entertainment president Michael Thorn recently confirmed that there "are no plans to do another season at the moment."

I'm kinda bummed out by this news because I actually enjoyed having the series back in my life. I know not everyone cared for the revival, but I actually enjoyed it. I'm sure some people will be happy to learn that it has been canceled.

This is probably it. We'll most likely never see a new episode of The X-Files or a film again. At least we got two new seasons, which I never expected to happen in the first place, so that's a plus.

I'm not surprised The X-Files got canceled, though. Viewership was down and co-star Gillian Anderson said that she wasn't going to return to the series. Those two things were the final nail in the coffin. As much as I'd like to see the series continue, there's really no point without Anderson.
