There Are Some Surprising Cameos in DEADPOOL 2 That Aren't Easy to Catch
Deadpool 2 opened in theaters last night and I'm sure a lot of you already went out and saw it. If you did, there were a few surprising cameos in the film that you may have missed. They aren't easy to spot! There are a few big cameos that are easy to spot, but some of the others had to be pointed out to me by a friend of mine.
If you haven't seen the movie yet, the following information will give you a heads up on what to look for. But, if you don't want to know, and you just want to try and spot the cameos on your own, then don't read ahead. There are some big spoilers.
The X-Men make a brief and hilarious cameo early on in the film when Deadpool is in the X-Mansion and wondering where all the other X-Men are at. While talking about how the lack of the other characters makes the movie look cheap, we see a room behind where Deadpool is standing where we see James McAvoy as Professor X, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops. They look at Deadpool then quietly shut the door so he doesn't see them.
Brad Pitt makes a very quick and surprising cameo as a character called Vanisher. He is an invisible mutant who joins the X-Force. At one point in the film he gets electrocuted and it's in this moment that we see what Vanisher looks like. It's very quick and I didn't catch it at first, but it's Brad Pitt, who is friends with director David Leitch.
This next one completely threw me for a loop and I didn't recognize them at all. After Josh Brolin’s Cable travels through time to the present day he walks up to two rednecks discussing The best ways to wipe their butts. One of the rednecks is played by Alan Tudyk (Firefly) and the other is played by Matt Damon.
Then Ryan Reynolds ends up making a cameo in his own movie. Not only does he play Deadpool, but he also provides the voice of a surprise character... Juggernaut, who is a completely CGI character. Writer Rhett Reese told IGN:
"Ryan Reynolds is the voice of Juggernaut, believe it or not. Slightly modulated with a computer to bring his register down…Ryan did a fun job with the voice. He didn’t have many lines, he’s a man of few words, but he’s a man of great anger and forcefulness, and we think it worked out pretty well.”
So, those are some of the big cameos in the movie that you may or may not have missed when watching the film. Did you catch all of these cameos?
