There Was a Modern Day Coffee Cup Spotted in The Latest Episode of GAME OF THRONES
There were such high hopes and excitement for the final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones, but it hasn’t really been living up to the expectations of a lot of fans. First there was the super dark battle, and now, in this latest episode, we see that the creative team isn’t really paying attention to certain things.
In the most recent episode of the series titled “The Last of the Starks”, there’s a scene where you can clearly see a modern day coffee cup sitting on a table right in front of Daenerys. I guess the Mother of Dragons needed her caffeine pick-me-up for the day after what she previously went through in that last battle.
The coffee cup makes its grand appearance at the 17:50-minute mark during the episode. As you might expect, the Internet has been making fun of the mistake.
I’m seriously surprised that no one caught this and had it digitally removed. Hell, maybe they did and they didn’t have enough money in the budget to have it removed! With only two more episodes left, I hope that they give the fans something satisfying!

Update: HBO responded to the coffee cup saying, “The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.” Art director Hauke Richter also said it’s not uncommon for items to end up misplaced on set, and pop up in the final cuts of movies and TV shows.
“Things can get forgotten on set. [The coffee cup error has been] so blown out of proportion [because] it has not happened with ‘Thrones’ so far.”
