There Will Be a Bigger Villainous Threat Than Doomsday in BATMAN V SUPERMAN

A lot of fans complained about the last trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice because some people think that it showed way too much. I was actually really surprised that they threw Doomsday in there. I thought that element would have been something they'd want save for people to see when they saw the movie, but I guess not.

Doomsday made his debut in 1992's "The Death of Superman" story arc, and as you saw in the trailer Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) creates the monstrous villain using Zod's (Michael Shannon) dead body. This threat will unite Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).

Turns out there is actually going to be more to it than that, and there's something big in the story that hasen't officially been revealed yet. During an interview with Premiereproduction designer Patrick Tatopoulos talked about the film and assured fans that the there are a lot of things being kept under wraps for this movie. He said:

"We are able to tell a story in a fresh way. Doomsday is an evolution essentially. Fans may be aware of 'The Death of Superman' story, but this is handled in such a new way."

He goes on to explain Lex's actions in the story:

"When the film is called Batman v or versus Superman, it really has a lot of levels to the meaning. Superman isn't just killed off at the end of something. We see how he evolves as part of Lex's plan to protect the world. Seeing the Superman we know, be gone, and then replaced with this reproduction is really going to make fans think of how we look at these super beings. It was especially interesting to figure out, how would you create Superman from Zod... then how would that evolve into Doomsday."

He goes on to tease a dangerous threat that is even bigger than Doomsday, saying:

"Doomsday isn't just the final act. Those feeling they may know too much this early are going to be in for a true surprise."

Tatopoulos then explains that "timeframe of how things fall into place will surprise fans" invloving this "larger threat." We're just going to have to wait until March 25th to see what it is. I can't help but think that it will involve Darkseid, a character that has been rumored to be part of the DCEU in the past.
