There's a Crazy Rumor Regarding The Story For TERMINATOR: DARK FATE and a New TV Spot

A new rumor has surfaced regarding the story and setting for producer James Cameron and director Tim Miller’s Terminator: Dark Fate that has surfaced that’s pretty crazy and unexpected. I wanted to share it with you to see what you all think of it.

Before I get into that rumor, though, we already know that Dark Fate is set years after the events of Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Mackenzie Davis plays an enhanced cyborg from the future who travels back in time to hunt down another Terminator, played by Gabriel Luna. He has the ability to split into two separate Terminator killing machines — a dark liquid metal version that looks human and an endoskeleton. They will be joined by Linda Hamilton, who returns as Sarah Conner, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is back as the Terminator.

I also have a new TV spot to share with you that offers a few bits of new footage. Below the TV spot, I’ll get into the rumored details, which could be a big spoiler if true, so proceed with caution.

TERMINATOR 6 NEWS: The scene from James Cameron and Tim Miller's new Terminator movie, Terminator: Dark Fate - which was described at CinemaCon 2019 - where Sarah Connor says the legendary line of "I'll be back" have appeared in a TV Spot trailer with an amended ending.

I’m not sure how I feel about this new information, which comes from multiple sources who attended a test screening of the film.

Ok, here we go…

According to Heroic Hollywood, in Terminator: Dark Fate, “Skynet is no more. Legion has become the new Skynet in an alternate future timeline post Terminator 2. Legion sends a Terminator to kill John Connor in 1998 and in his place a new savior rises in the future — Dani. So, an augmented human called Grace is sent to protect Dani and Sarah Connor joins in on the fight to help protect the child.”

The report goes on to say that the test screening went over very well and apparently the audience that attended the screening loved the film, so that’s good to hear!

What do you all think about Terminator: Dark Fate being set in an alternate future timeline? Did the events of Avengers: Endgame effect the Terminator universe as well?

Terminator: Dark Fate hits theaters on November 1st, 2019.
