There's a GHOSTBUSTERS Fan Event Launching This Summer in California!
I’ve got some big news for all of you hardcore Ghostbusters fans out there! For the first time ever, there’s an official Ghostbusters fan event that is being launched by Wizard World, who is teaming up with Sony Pictures and Ghost Corps to make it happen.
The event will take place in Culver City, California and it will arrive just in time for the 35th anniversary of the original, and the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters II. Then, of course, there’s the new Ghostbusters 3 movie coming in 2020.
This is exciting! The Ghostbusters Fan Fest will take place on June 7th and June 8th, right on the Sony Pictures studio lot in Culver City. Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Ivan Reitman, and Ghostbusters theme song singer-songwriter Ray Parker Jr. are all confirmed to appear. On top of that, the stars of The Real Ghostbusters animated series (1986-91) will also be well-represented with Maurice LaMarche (Dr. Egon Spengler), Frank Welker (Dr. Raymond Stantz) and Dave Coulier (Dr. Peter Venkman) scheduled to attend.
I’m sure the fans would love to see Bill Murray, Rick Moranis, and Sigourney Weaver all show up as well! But, that’s a long shot.

The premier live event will be held June 7-8 on the famed Sony Pictures Studio Lot in Culver City, California.
Ghostbusters Fan Fest presented by Wizard World will be the ultimate celebration of the franchise. For the 35th anniversary of the legendary film (and the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters II), fans will participate in exclusive panels with the stars and original crew members, meet the Ghostbusters creators, talent and crew and experience Ghostbusters augmented reality gaming. Other planned Ghostbusters-themed activities include a screening of the original film, a special musical performance by Parker, costume contests, meet-ups, documentary screenings, laser tag, interactive photo booths, exhibitor booths, and much more.
