There's a New Batman-Themed Restaurant Coming To London Called PARK ROW

The first Batman-themed restaurant is coming to London. It’ll be called Park Row, which is after the area of Gotham City which is home to the caped crusader's rogue gallery of villains. Park Row is also known as Crime Alley, which is the place where Bruce Wayne’s parents were murdered. So, this restaurant is going to have a happy, feel-good vibe!

The restaurant will be filled with several themed areas that will resemble the Batcave, the Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge, and more. The restaurant is set inside an “18,000 square feet venue will sit inside the basement of an Art Deco building right in the heart of London” and it will offer an “experience which is more like a dinner show than a trip to a typical restaurant.”

It’s explained that “Guests will enter by descending into an area designed to look like Batman's lair, the Batcave. From there three bars and five very different dining environments await with prices starting at an average of $58 (£45) per person.” You can also expect to eat “traditional British dishes in a library-like atmosphere at Pennyworth’s which is named after Batman's butler, Alfred.”

There’s also Old Gotham City, which “is a villainous speakeasy serving cocktails whilst sushi is the order of the day in an area themed to femme fatale Harley Quinn.” The largest area of the restaurant is the Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge which will include an international menu and live entertainment. Then there’s the Monarch Theatre area, which is the same theater that the Waynes attended before they were murdered. It is the most expensive area. They offer a “tasting menu at an average price of $155 (£120) per head.”

Park Row promises that “the food is surreal enough to pass muster in Batman’s wacky world.” So… okay, is Batman’s world considered wacky? The only wacky version of Batman I know of is what the Adam West series gave us and the Lego Movie Batman. But, for the most part, Batman lives in a dark and moody world. I guess they don’t want to market the restaurant as being dark and moody, even though it’s themed after the place where Bruce Wayne’s parents were gunned down.
