There's a New BOURNE Film Coming That Will Tie into the TREADSTONE Series
USA is getting ready to continue the Bourne story with the upcoming series Treadstone, but we had not heard any info on an upcoming Bourne film until now. Producer Ben Smith spoke with the guys over at Cinema Blend this week, and while he couldn’t get into the nitty gritty of what we can expect, he did confirm that we will get another film, and it will tie into the series. Here’s what he had to say:
I mean we are definitely working on another film. What we're doing within that? Will there be connected tissue in terms of are we all existing within the same world and universe? Absolutely. The details of that are still under wraps.
Smith went on to say that the film and series will run concurrently, so the events of each could effect the other, and that’s pretty awesome. Here’s the description for the series:
Treadstone follows the lives of various sleeper agents as they're re-activated around the world under mysterious circumstances to carry out deadly missions. The series explores the origins of Operation Treadstone, and is set primarily in the present day a few years removed from the events of Jason Bourne.
