There's a RICK AND MORTY Halloween Short Coming Soon!
Rick and Morty fans will be happy to learn that we will be getting a Halloween short film soon! The short is titled “The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara” and it’s set to air at 11:00pm Sunday, October 10th on Adult Swim.
The story centers on Rick and he plans to build the ultimate AI toaster and “things take a strange turn when he and Morty are forced to travel to Akihabara for spare parts.”
The title of the short sounds like it was inspired by the Takashi Miike horror fantasy film, The Great Yokai War. In Japanese folklore, the yōkai are a class of supernatural entities and spirits.
It sounds like Rick and Morty are going to find themselves on a crazy, supernatural Halloween adventure! I can’t wait to see it!
