There's Another "Significant" DUNE Related Project in Development
As you know, there’s been an exciting surge of Dune projects going into development. We’ve got a film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune in development along with a Dune: The Sisterhood series, both coming from director Denis Villeneuve.
Well, it looks like the story of Dune is going to be expanding with another “significant” new project coming from author Brian Herbert, the son of Frank Herbert. No details were given on the project and we don’t know what form it will take, but an official announcement is coming soon!
As a fan of the Dune franchise, I’m looking forward to seeing what this new project ends up being and see what new stories come from it.
Herbert also said that filming “is going very well” on the Dune film that is currently in development.
I just signed a significant new Dune franchise contract, and the formal announcement will be soon. Separately, for the first movie of the novel DUNE, the filming is going very well. Also, a new tabletop game is proceeding at a good pace, and a digital game is in the works. pic.twitter.com/rYhMUiNvec
