These AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR LEGO Playsets Offer Us New Plot Details For the Film
LEGO has officially released some of the Avengers: Infinity War playsets that they will be releasing. Like a lot of LEGO playsets released for the Marvel films, these offer us some new plot details about the highly anticipated film. If you don't want any hints as to what this information entails then you probably want to steer clear.
There's certainly some exciting stuff here that will get fans excited. Before we jump into all of the photos that have been released, here are the names of the playsets:
- Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown
- Outrider Dropship Attack
- Thor’s Weapon Quest
- Corvus Glave Thrasher Attack
- The Hulkbuster Smash-Up
- Thanos Ultimate Battle
The names of the playsets themselves offer up some pretty clear plot points but the images of them below will show you all of the characters involved with each scene and give you some insight into what is going on. I've offered some commentary on each of the sets. Look through all of these for yourself and let us know if you notice anything!
Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown
This playset features the villains Cull Obsidian, wielding a crazy looking chain hammer weapon and Corvus Glaive attacking Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum. Spider-Man is fighting them in his Iron-Spider suit alongside Iron Man. Oh, and Iron Man is rocking his four extra arms!
Outrider Dropship Attack
This playset offers us a better look at Thanos' Outriders and the ships they'll arrive in when they invade Wakanda. As expected, it looks like they are going after the soul stone.
Thor’s Weapon Quest
Here it looks like Thor will use his thunderous lightning to help power a machine that will create his new weapon. It looks as if there's an Infinity Stone helping power the machine as well. I love the fact that he'll be teaming up with Groot and Rocket on this quest!
Corvus Glave Thrasher Attack
This certainly looks like a crazy weapon that will do some damage!
The Hulkbuster Smash-Up
This LEGO set seems to confirm that Bruce Banner is going to be running around in Tony Stark's Hulkbuster armor! So that's rad! It's also confirmed that Proxima Midnight is the villain who will be going to Wakanda to get the Infinity Stone.
Thanos Ultimate Battle
Then here's the big battle with Thanos, and as you can see, Thanos is wielding a huge sword! I hope that this just isn't for the playset. I'd love to see Thanos wield this massive sword in the movie! It looks like Iron Man will be fighting alongside Star-Lord and Gamora and they attempt get the gauntlet from Thanos.
