Things Are Spiraling Out of Control in Trailer for College Murder Social Media Thriller INITIATION
A new trailer has been released for the social media murder thriller Initiation, in which things are spiraling out of control on campus. The film stars Lindsay LaVanchy (who also co-wrote the script), with Jon Huertas, Isabella Gomez, Froy Gutierrez, Gattlin Griffith, Patrick Walker, Bart Johnson, Shireen Lai, Kent Faulcon, Yancy Butler, and Lochlyn Munro.
Here’s the synopsis:
In Initiation, during a university’s pledge week, the carefree partying turns deadly serious when a star athlete is found impaled in his dorm room. The murder ignites a spree of sinister social-media messages, sweeping the students and the police into a race against time to uncover the truth behind the school's dark secrets… and also the horrifying meaning of a recurring symbol: a single exclamation mark.
The film is directed by John Berardo in his second feature after directing the 2017 film The Labyrinth. Berardo co-wrote the film alongside Brian Frager and Lindsay LaVanchy. This looks to be full of twists and turns, and like it might be a fun thriller. Check out the trailer and poster below, and watch Initiation in select theaters and on VOD on May 7th.
