This Batmobile Desk Clock Costs $29,900

The Switzerland-based design firm Kross Studio has teamed up with Warner Bros. to create this Batmobile desk clock, which is based on the design from Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman movie.

There were only 100 of these made, and each one is priced at an insane $29,900! Yeah, I think I’m going to pass. I’d rather buy a new car that I can actually drive around! That’s way too steep for a clock.

The timepiece consists of 512 individual components, with 115 making up the Batmobile’s body and 397 in the clock’s movement. A traditional mechanical movement for a clock is typically only around 130 components. I guess the extra components make it extra special. For $29,900 you’d think it’d do a lot more than tell time, like maybe let you travel through time?

People are buying these, though! The last I checked there were only nine left!
