This Dire 1960s PSA Shows You The Dangers of Sniffing Glue
I know that we all have made jokes about sniffing glue in our lives because when growing up we are always warned not to do it because it would mess us up!
I don’t recall ever seeing any PSA’s that warn against the dangers of sniffing glue when I was growing up, but here’s a dire one from the 1960s. It warns:
It’s just a small inoffensive tube not even as big as a tube of toothpaste or shaving cream but as small as it is, this little tube is filled with big trouble. When used for their intended purpose, these so-called model cements are a great boon to the household and model building for young people but they’re a dangerous commodity when used improperly.
The narrator goes on to explain all of the dangers that sniffing glue can cause its users, harm internally and externally. He goes on to state that while the problem is mostly prevalent in big cities across the country, it could possibly be heading toward smaller towns… like yours!
