ABC has ordered a pilot for a new dramatic series currently called 90’s Popstar from the team who brings us This is Us. Amanda Lasher, the writer and executive producer of the series, is on board alongside showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger. Mandy Moore (A Walk To Remember, Tangled, This is Us), whose early singing career is the basis of the show, is set to executive produce.

Variety reports the following description for the series:

A family from small town Florida must adapt to their extraordinary new reality when their teenage daughter goes from aspiring singer to pop superstar practically overnight.

This sounds like a fun series with the unique perspective of someone who became a teenage star overnight. And This is Us is such a great series, so I’m down for another project from this team. Does this sound like a series you’d like to check out?
