This LEGO Batmobile is as Big as a Car

LEGO artist Nathan Sawaya created this incredible Batmobile for DC's upcoming LEGO tour The Art of the Brick: DC Comics. This is the largest LEGO Batmobile that's ever been made. It's as big as a car, and there's a ton of work that went into creating this thing. The amount of hours that went into this project is just mind-blowing.

The design of this Batmobile came from comic artist Jim Lee, who drew out the vehicle concept during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Sawaya took that design and built it out of a half million bricks. While talking to Comic Book Resources, Sawaya explains the work that went into this:

“This became my life. This was a full time job. I dreamt about the Batmobile, I thought about it every time I had a chance to think. It was non-stop. It’s just those tiny pieces, [you have to chase it down], one by one, one by one. You do get to a point that if you miss something, you can see it. You can see it in the pattern that maybe it’s not working and you have to go back and fix it.”

The Art of the Brick: DC Comics exhibition will kick off at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney, Australia on November 20th. This Batmobile is the main attraction.
