This Marvel Jacket from Fun.com is Fantastic, but There are Problems with the Site
Fun.com offers some cool officially licensed apparel from Marvel and DC. They currently have a sale on a lot of outerwear for these fandoms and were also kind enough to send me a couple of jackets. I asked them to send me the subtle Marvel Comic Print Overcoat for myself and the Wonder Woman Canvas Cargo Womens Jacket for my wife. They arrived in a timely manner and I’ve been enjoying my jacket.
My overcoat fits perfectly for the most part. One problem is that I know I have a bit of a gut, but it’s not huge. I have to really suck in to be able to button the coat. I feel like this if I got a size up, I could button it up, but then it wouldn’t fit as nice. My other problem is that the jacket has fake pockets on the outside. WHY DO FAKE POCKETS EXIST!? They’re the worst. Aside from these minor inconveniences, I’ve been loving being able to go around in a nice overcoat that looks normal, but then show off some geekiness with the Marvel print lining.
Now we’re going to address the big problem with Fun.com. They need to improve their size chart. Different jackets have different measurements available to them. The overcoat I got has waist, chest, length, and size measurements. Meanwhile, a different coat only asks for the chest and length. The women’s jacket I asked for also only asked for these two measurements and it led to a jacket that was too small. By asking for other measurements such as sleeve length or shoulder there’s a much smaller margin for error.
The Wonder Woman jacket looks fantastic and feels fantastic, but unfortunately, it is too small because there were problems with the sizing charts so I can’t relate how good it feels or actually looks on a person.
