This New Trailer For Jim Carrey's New Series KIDDING Embraces The Wonderful Wildness of It

Showtime has released a new trailer for Jim Carrey's upcoming comedy series Kidding. It's titled "Spark of Greatness" and it gives us our best look yet at the wonderfully weird wildness of the series!  This series looks amazing and I can't wait to watch it. You can tell from these trailers that Jim Carrey is completely in his element and this may very well be one of the best things he does in his career.

Carrey plays Jeff, a.k.a. Mr. Pickles, "an icon of children's TV, a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America's impressionable young minds and the parents who grew up with him — and who also anchors a multimillion-dollar branding empire. But when his family (his wife, two sons, sister and father) begins to implode, Jeff finds no fairy tale or fable or puppet will guide him through this crisis, which advances faster than his means to cope. The result: A kind man in a cruel world faces a slow leak of sanity as hilarious as it is heartbreaking."

The half-hour comedy also stars Catherine KeenerJudy GreerJustin Kirk (Weeds) and Frank Langella. It will reunite Carrey with his Oscar-winning Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind writer-director Michel Gondry, who will helm the series. The series was created by Dave Holstein (I'm Dying Up Here).

Kidding will premiere on Sunday, September 9th on Showtime.

In his first series regular role in over two decades, Jim Carrey stars as Jeff, aka Mr. Pickles, an icon of children's television, a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America's impressionable young minds, who also anchors a multimillion-dollar branding empire.
