This Official Short Film THE ORIGIN OF TOYS"R"US Was Created by OpenAI's Sora Technology

Toys”R”Us partnered with creative agency Native Foreign to produce a short film titled The Origin of Toys”R”Us.

The minute-long short was created using OpenAI’s Sora technology. The movie imagines how the company’s founder Charles Lazarus dreamed of his future toy store as a boy and the mascot Geoffrey the Giraffe.

The film took several weeks to make and it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.

It’s explained, “OpenAI’s Sora enabled Toys”R”Us Studios and Native Foreign to bring a concept to reality in just a few weeks, condensing hundreds of iterative shots down to a couple of dozen.”

It’s really impressive to see what Sora can do. While it still doesn't look quite right, in the next few years they’ll be able to polish it up and it’s just going to keep getting better and better.

The future of AI is going to be freakin’ insane.

I’ve got a teaser trailer trailer for you to watch below, and you can watch the full film here.
