This VFX Featurette For ALIEN 3 Shows a Dog Being Transformed Into a Xenomorph

During the development of David Fincher's Alien 3, the special effect artists were trying to come up with a way to bring the "Runner" Xenomorph to life in the film. StudioADI recently shared a behind-the-scenes featurette for the film that features one unused attempt they made to actually transform an adorable whippet dog into an alien. They created a custom-made Xenomorph suit and a mask for the dog. It didn't end up working out the way they hoped it would but it's still fun to watch the process they went through to test out the concept!
