THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Action Figure Reveals Natalie Portman's Jane Foster as Thor
As you know, sometimes our first look for a character in a Marvel film comes from an action figure. It’s happened a lot over the years and it will continue to happen. Thanks to a new Bandai S.H. Figuarts line of figures based on Marvel’s Thor: Love and Thunder, we have a first look at Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as Thor. You can check out the images of that figure below:
Judging from this figure, there’s no doubt that Portman is going to looking completely badass as Thor! I’m looking forward to seeing Jane Foster’s storyline play out in the film as she takes on the mantle of Thor.
Jane Foster’s Thor story arc is based on Jason Aaron’s comic book run in The Mighty Thor, the story of which follows a cancer-stricken Jane Foster as she takes up the mantle and powers of Thor. Portman previously teased this storyline, saying:
"I can’t tell you that much. I’m really excited. I’m starting to train, to get muscles. If there can be all these female superheroes, the more of them they are, the better it is. I’m trying to think — it’s based on the graphic novel of The Mighty Thor. She’s going through cancer treatment and is a superhero on the side."
Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Chris Hemsworth, who is back as the God of Thunder; Tessa Thompson back in her role of Valkyrie; Chris Pratt will return as Star-Lord along with Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, and Karen Gillan; and Christian Bale will play Gore The God Butcher.
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently set to arrive in theaters on May 6, 2022.
