THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER Marvel Legends Action Figures Offer a Look at Several Characters and Tease Plot Details
While Marvel fans continue to wait for the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder to be released, a collection of Marvel Legends action figures has surfaced which offers a first look at several characters that the movie will feature.
There are seven figures included in this first wave of figures for the film, and they include Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor, Groot, Gorr, King Valkyrie, Star-Lord, Ravager Thor, and Thor. They all have updated costumes and each figure includes a piece for the wave's Korg Build-A-Figure.
Some photos of the back of the packaging have also been shared, and they tease some story and character details for the film:
The King Valkyrie figure says: "When a dangerous new visitor threatens the livelihood of New Asgard, King Valkyrie is forced to take up her sword once more to defend her people." I assume that threat is Gorr The God Butcher.
The Thor figure reads: “Thor wields the mighty Stormbreaker against a terrifying new foe.”
The Mighty Thor figure: “Jane Foster’s life is forever changed when she mysteriously comes to possess the hammer Mjolnir… and the power of the Mighty Thor!”
The Gorr figure: “Wielding a strange and terrifying weapon, Gorr will let nothing stand in his way.”
Thor: Love and Thunder also stars Chris Hemsworth, who is back as the God of Thunder; Natalie Portman is Jane Foster, Tessa Thompson back in her role of Valkyrie; Chris Pratt will return as Star-Lord along with Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, and Karen Gillan; and Christian Bale will play Gore The God Butcher.
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently set to arrive in theaters on July 8th, 2022. We should be getting a trailer soon!
