Three Marvel Stars Reunite for Steven Soderbergh's 1950s Crime Drama KILL SWITCH
Steven Soderbergh is filling up the cast for his next movie, which is a 1950s crime drama set in Detroit titled Kill Switch. That cast will reunite three Marvel movie actors that include Josh Brolin, Don Cheadle, and Sebastian Stan. They are currently in discussions to star in the film.
In the film, Brolin, Cheadle, and Stan would play criminals “who carry out a home invasion, only to wonder if they’ve been double-crossed.” The script for the film was written by Ed Solomon (Men in Black), and the project will start shooting next summer.
According to Collider, the project will soon be shopped to studios, “and interest around town is said to be high given the starry cast, the strength of the screenplay, and Soderbergh’s status as an Oscar-winning director.”
There’s certainly a great team of talent jumping on board to develop this film, and I’m sure they’ll deliver a film that audiences will enjoy. Soderbergh is coming off a pair of Netflix movies titled High Flying Bird, which explored the business of basketball, and The Laundromat, which examined the story behind the Panama Papers. Both were fantastic films, and it’s good to see that he’s not slowing down when it comes to making movies.
Remember that time he said he was retiring? Well, it’s a good thing he didn’t.
