Three More Join THE WITCHES Including Octavia Spencer
About a month ago, we learned that Anne Hathaway was going to star in Robert Zemeckis’ adaptation of The Witches by Roald Dahl. Now, it looks like Jahzir Bruno, Codie-Lei Eastick, and Octavia Spencer are in talks to join the cast. If cast, Bruno will play the main boy who meets the witches, and Spencer will play Bruno’s grandmother, while Eastick will be the other boy who has a run in with the witches. According to Variety, those close to the project are reporting that Zemeckis’ version will be closer to the book than the 1990 adaptation with Anjelica Huston.
