Three New TV Spots for JOKER and a Fiery New IMAX Poster

We’ve got three new TV spots to share with you for DC’s upcoming film Joker, and they offer up some new footage to check out along with a lot of critical praise for the film. IMAX also released a new poster that features Joaquin Phoenix watch enjoying the chaos as Gotham burns.

While he is trying to live a good and normal life in Gotham City, Arthur Fleck’s tragic journey takes him on a path of darkness that will lead to him becoming Gotham’s most dangerous criminal. It’s been said that the subject matter of the movie will deal with mental illness, and the director also described it as a tragedy, which is clearly seen in this new trailer.

This was the official synopsis that was released:

Joker centers around the iconic arch-nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. The exploration of Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

The film was directed by Todd Phillips, and it also stars Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, and Marc Maron.

Joker will be released in theaters on October 4th, 2019.
