Thrilling Trailer for Netflix True Crime Documentary THE TINDER SWINDLER
Netflix has released the trailer for their true crime documentary The Tinder Swindler, which uncovers the story of a man who matched with a number of women on the dating app Tinder and went on to first sweep them off their feet, then trick them into giving him large amounts of money. It was directed by Felicity Morris in her directorial debut, after having produced other true-crime docs Don’t F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer and Waco: Madman or Messiah, as well as the TV series Women in Prison.
Here’s the doc’s official synopsis:
From the team producers of "Don't F**ck With Cats," modern love is a dangerous game in the world of online dating, and not all that glitters is gold. Notoriously known as The Tinder Swindler, he has seduced and swindled young women for millions and is a fugitive from justice in several countries. One swipe could change your life. This is the ultimate fairytale gone nightmare. Follow three women who decided it was time for payback.
This looks like a super interesting story. I love a good true crime doc, and this one looks like it has some crazy twists and turns. Check out the trailer below, and watch The Tinder Swindler, available to stream on Netflix on February 2, 2022.
