Thrilling Trailer For Tom Hanks' WWII Naval Battle Film GREYHOUND

Sony Pictures has released the first trailer for Tom Hanks’ World War II Naval battle film, Greyhound, and it looks like it’s gonna be a great movie! Hanks not only stars in the film, but he also wrote the script.

Greyhound is an adaptation of the novel, The Good Shepherd, by C.S. Forester. It’s a World War II-set drama that follows a Navy officer who finally gets to command a destroyer, but has to get on top of his personal doubts and demons as he does so. Here’s the synopsis that was shared:

In the early days of WWII, an international convoy of 37 Allied ships, led by captain Ernest Krause (Hanks) in his first command of a U.S. destroyer, crosses the treacherous North Atlantic while hotly pursued by wolf packs of Nazi U-boats.

I’m a huge fan of historical war films like this, and Greyhound looks amazing. We don’t see many WWII films that focus on Naval battles like this, so that’s one of the reasons why I’m so excited about watching the movie.

The movie also stars Stephen Graham (Snatch, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Rocketman), Rob Morgan (Mudbound, Stranger Things, Daredevil), and Elisabeth Shue (Leaving Las Vegas, The Boys, Death Wish).

The film is directed by Aaron Schneider (Two Soldiers, Get Low) and is produced by Gary Goetzman (Olive Kitteridge, Game Change, The Pacific).

Greyhound will hit theaters on June 12th, 2020. Check out the trailer below!

The only thing more dangerous than the front lines was the fight to get there. Screenplay by Tom Hanks inspired by actual events, Greyhound comes to theaters...
