THUNDERBOLTS* Star David Harbour Says He's Heading Back for AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Reshoots and Teases Its "Massive" Scale

We are less than ten months away from the release of Avengers: Doomsday. The film finished shooting a few months ago, and it’s no surprise that the team assembled by directors The Russo Brothers is working hard on possibly the biggest film of all of their careers.

There is a lot that goes into making a movie of this size, so with VFX, editing, and reshoots, it’s a good thing they have the better part of this year to get things where they need to be.

David Harbour, who plays Alexei Shostakov, aka the Red Guardian in the MCU, revealed to ExtraTV that he’s headed back to London for reshoots:

"I've been working a lot. Keeping busy. And this little Avengers movie that we got in London. They got a couple more days they want to do. I'm heading there soon [and] actually going to London for a couple of days. There's a little more filming coming up for 'Avengers: Doomsday.'

“I'm really excited about it. The chemistry with Sebastian [Stan] and Wyatt [Russell] on set was fantastic, so I'm looking forward to getting back in there. You know I can't say anything. But it's gonna be fun. The Russos are killing it, and the whole thing is shaping up to be massive."

While fans are champing at the bit for Doomsday clues, this one is pretty mild, seeing as Sebastian Stan and Wyatt Russell’s characters are on the same team as Harbour’s Red Guardian. But the fact that reshoots are happening hopefully means that we will see some footage soon!

After not seeing the rumored first full trailer during the Super Bowl, I’m looking forward to finally getting a real feel for this movie. We will let you know as soon as it drops.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters on December 18th, 2026.
