Tim Allen Compares TOY STORY 4 to AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

In case you forgot, Pixar is still developing Toy Story 4. After Toy Story 3 was released I didn’t feel there was a need for another film because it wrapped up the story of Andy and his toy friends so nicely. In fact, it left a lot of fans in tears.

Tim Allen, who provides the voice of Buzz Lightyear, recently appeared on The Talk where he was asked about the fourth film in the franchise. It’s here that he surprisingly compared the movie to Avengers: infinity War! He says:

"Yes. I can't believe it. I gotta resist getting emotional because I don't wanna give it away but this is an incredibly great story. If you're at all a big superhero fan, Infinity War - I'm a big superhero fan - that didn't seem like it was going to work [but[ it was a lot of vignettes that all made sense. This Toy Story 4 [did that]. We've only been through it once, there will be several more incantations, but it is so emotional, it's so funny, it's so big the idea that they've come up with. I'm startled. 3 I thought was amazing. This one, I couldn't even get through the last scene, okay?"

So, I guess fans better bring a box of tissues to the theater with them because it sounds like Toy Story 4 is going to have a super sad ending that will leave audiences sobbing. Allen wouldn’t reveal any more than that, saying:

"I'd love to be a Washington leaker, but I just can't do it. I can't give it any more away. They've got great characters, but a couple of the scenes towards the end were really hard to get through."

His comments here actually got me more excited about what the movie will entail. It’s great ot hear that they’ve come up with another powerful story to tell.

It was previously revealed that the story will be a romantic comedy that focuses on Woody and his relationship with Bo Peep. Woody and Buzz will have to team up for a new adventure to save Bo and bring her back.

Toy Story 4 is currently set to hit theaters on June 21st, 2019.
