Timothée Chalamet and Robert Pattinson Face Off in Thrilling New Trailer for Netflix's THE KING

Netflix has released a thrilling and intense new trailer for the upcoming film project The King, which is inspired by elements of Shakespeare’s Henry IV and Henry V. The story follows "a young, disgraced prince named Hal, who inherits the crown and must learn what it means to be a king, guided by his one true friend, Falstaff.”

Timothée Chalamet stars in the film as Hal, who is crowned King Henry V after his tyrannical father dies. He finds himself facing off with France, who is ruled by The Duaphin, played by Robert Pattinson. The movie also stars Ben Mendelsohn as King Henry IV, Sean Harris as William, Lily-Rose Depp in the role of Princess Catherine, Tom Glynn-Carney as Hotspur, and Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie as Philippa. Joel Edgerton is also in the film, and he co-wrote it as well.

The King looks like it’s going to be a great film! One thing is for sure, it’s a beautifully shot film, and it’s filled with a lot of incredible talent. It was directed by David Michod (Animal Kingdom, The Rover), and this is the synopsis that was released:

Hal (Chalamet), wayward prince and reluctant heir to the English throne, has turned his back on royal life and is living among the people. But when his tyrannical father dies, Hal is crowned King Henry V and is forced to embrace the life he had previously tried to escape. Now the young king must navigate the palace politics, chaos and war his father left behind, and the emotional strings of his past life — including his relationship with his closest friend and mentor, the ageing alcoholic knight, John Falstaff (Edgerton).

The King looks like a great film and it will be released on Netflix on November 1st.
