TINY TOONS LOONIVERSITY Introduces a New Class of Toons at Acme University
Warner Bros. Animation has released a full trailer for Tiny Toons Looniversity, which is, I guess, kind of a revival of Tiny Toons Adventures, only it doesn’t look as good. Cartoons in the ‘90s were just so much better than most of the stuff we are getting these days! I feel sorry for the kids that have to grow up on this stuff.
The series is described as “a show for a new generation” and it follows Babs, Buster, and the rest of the crew to Acme Looniversity. At the esteemed institution of higher hijinx learning, they form long-lasting friendships and perfect their cartoony craft while studying under the greatest cartoon characters in history, the Looney Tunes.”
The series features the voices of Ashleigh Crystal Hairston as Babs Bunny, David Errigo Jr. as Hamton J. Pig/ Plucky Duck, and Tessa Netting as Sweetie Bird. In addition, Bauza voices Babs’ twin brother Buster Bunny, with Cree Summer also reprising Elmyra. Joining them are Acme Looniversity’s famous faculty including Jeff Bergman as Bugs Bunny/Sylvester/Foghorn Leghorn, Bob Bergen as Porky Pig, Candi Milo as Dean Granny/Witch Hazel, Eric Bauza as Daffy Duck/Gossamer, and Looney Tunes veteran Fred Tatasciore as Taz/Yosemite Sam.
Erin Gibson will serve as showrunner and co-executive producer, while Nate Cash will also co-executive produce. Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network Studios, will also executive produce along with Amblin Television co-presidents Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank.
The 10 episodes of Season 1 will also start streaming on September 8th on Max.
