T.J. Miller Promises DEADPOOL 2 Will Be Very Different than the First and Also Funnier

T.J. MIller has made quite a name for himself in the comedy world. Having starred in Deadpool as Weasel and also in HBO's Silicon Valley, he definitely knows comedy. Which is why I trust him when he says that Deadpool 2 is going to be funnier than the first.

While talking to ScreenRant, T.J. Miller talked a lot about the sequel and what to expect. And the first thing he had to say was that it was funnier. Now we've heard this same thing from Josh Brolin, but something about the way Miller puts it, makes me believe it a bit more:

"I was crying so hard laughing that I dropped an iPad in a public restaurant when I was reading the script. As Ryan [Reynolds] and I were talking about, it’s this great thing where we know the tone, we know the stakes, everybody’s played these characters before – most importantly, we know the tone, we know how to hit it pitch perfect. So I think it might actually be funnier than the first one. I’m really, really excited."

That's definitely important. Knowing the tone is definitely important, and if done right it can make a sequel fantastic. A great example is 22 Jump Street which took everything it did right with the first film and made it better. The tough thing with superhero movies and comedy movies, however, is just making the same thing over again, but Miller says that definitely isn't the case with Deadpool 2:

"It’s not going to be like Hangover 2, it’s not going to be the same movie in a different location, for instance. It’s got different stakes, different things happen, some pretty tragic, dark sh-t happens in the first part of the film, in the beginning, and the rest of the film is kind of dealing with that, so that’s interesting."

Well, it sounds like this movie is going to definitely be something worth checking out. I especially can't wait to see the dynamic between Cable and Deadpool. One being the ultimate masculine and serious Uber-Hero and the other being, well, Deadpool. What do you think? Are the actors overhyping it? Or will it be as good as they say? Sound off below.
