Tobey Maguire on Returning to Play SPIDER-MAN in NO WAY HOME and He's Ready to Do It Again!

It was pretty awesome to see Tobey Maguire back in action as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: No Way Home. That’s something that a lot of fans never thought they’d see, but it happened and it would be great to see it happen again!

During a recent interview with Marvel, Maguire talked about jumping back into the role of Spider-Man and his reaction to finally being asked to come back after all those years, saying:

“When they called initially, I was like finally! [Laughs] I got the call and was immediately open about coming to do this. Not without nerves – you know, ‘What will this look like and what will the experience be?’ But to get to show up with beautiful, talented, creative people and play together? It’s just like, ‘Yes!’ It’s fun and exciting.

He goes on to say that the is is totally up for doing it again if asked:

“I love these films and I love all of the different series. If these guys called me and said, ‘Would you show up tonight to hang out and goof around?’ or ‘Would you show up to do this movie or read a scene or do a Spider-Man thing?’, it would be a ‘yes!’ Because why wouldn’t I want to do that?”

I hope that Sony and Marvel actually end up having fun with these other Spider-Man characters again now that they’ve reintroduced them. They could have three separate live-action Spider-Man film franchises going on set in different universes with Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland, and I think they’d all be successful with the writing and directing is strong. I’m surprised Sony Pictures hasn’t jumped on this after the insane success of No Way Home.
