Todd McFarlane Reveals There Are Two Animated SPAWN Shows in Early Development
HBO’s Spawn: The Animated Series was such an incredible show! The creative team behind that was actually developing an animated film shortly after that series ended, but it ended up being scrapped.
Well, while creator Todd McFarlane is trying to get his live action Spawn movie off the ground, he has revealed that there are two new animated Spawn shows that are in early development. He recently appeared at Fan Expo Canada, and it’s there he revealed the news saying:
"We’re talking right now. I just had a couple meetings this weekend about a couple different animation looks, both something that we can get kids in at a younger age and then get them into the sort of crack cocaine version of Spawn. And then do the adult one. So we’re talking about that. I think both of those come after the movie."
So, there’s a kids version of Spawn in the works and a crack cocaine version. I’ll take the crack cocaine version any day! But these projects are super early in development, and if they actually end up happening, it’s not going to be any time soon.
Regardless of that, would you be interested in a new animated Spawn series?
