Todd McFarlane Shows Off McFarlane Toys' BATMAN & ROBIN Action Figures
During Toy Fair, Todd McFarlane revealed some new additions to McFarlane Toys’ DC Multiverse line of action figures. This includes action figures for director Joel Schumacher’s 1997 film Batman & Robin.
Those figures include George Clooney’s Batman, Chris O'Donnell’s Robin, Alicia Silverstone’s Batgirl, and Uma Thurman’s Poison Ivy. Then, of course, there’s Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Freeze, which is the set’s Build-A-Figure.
These are probably the best action figures that have been made for this film! Each figure also comes with the usual trading card and figure base. Check out the video below.
Batman & Robin is the fourth installment in the initial series of Batman films and I don’t know anyone who liked the movie.
In the vibrant, campy chapter, Batman and Robin face a duo of formidable foes: Mr. Freeze, a villain set on freezing Gotham City to avenge his terminally ill wife, and Poison Ivy, a seductress with plant-based powers aiming to dominate the world with her mutant plants. Complicating matters is the appearance of Batgirl, the niece of Batman's butler Alfred, who joins the heroes in their mission.
Amidst icy battles, plant-based manipulations, and interpersonal conflicts, the trio must team up to prevent the freezing of Gotham and the domination of Poison Ivy. The film is often criticized for its over-the-top approach, especially when compared to the darker tones of its predecessors.
