TOKYO GODFATHERS is Returning to Select Theaters This March

Satoshi Kon’s Tokyo Godfathers is returning to select US theaters this March. For this re-release via Fathom Events, the film has been prepared with a 4K restoration. If you like to watch anime films in Japanese with English subtitles, you’ll want to attend a screening on March 9 at 7:00 PM local time. Fans of dubbed films will want to wait until March 11 at 7:00 PM local time.

In modern-day Tokyo, three homeless people’s lives are changed forever when they discover a baby girl at a garbage dump on Christmas Eve. As the New Year fast approaches, these three forgotten members of society band together to solve the mystery of the abandoned child and the fate of her parents. Along the way, encounters with seemingly unrelated events and people force them to confront their own haunted pasts, as they learn to face their future, together.

Tickets for Tokyo Godfathers will go on sale via the Fathom Events or GKIDS sites (as well as local box offices) starting January 31.
