TOM & JERRY CGI/Live-Action Hybrid Film Casts Michael Peña

For some reason movie studios have it in their head that people want to see beloved cartoons as weird live-action/CGI hybrid films. We don’t, but Warner Bros. is going to try its hardest to make us care about Tom & Jerry as they’ve cast Michael Peña in a lead role. Peña will play Terrance, who is described as:

[T]he deputy general manager of the hotel. A bit of bully, he hires Kayla as a temporary hire only to end up pitted against her and Tom/ Jerry once she starts impressing upper management.

Not going to lie, after the Ant-Man films, I don’t know that I could ever see him not giving a recap of what is happening in the movie in a hilarious way. I also don’t know that I’ll be able to see him as an antagonist. Just some thoughts.

Tim Story is directing Tom & Jerry and Kayla will be played by Chloe Grace Moretz. You’ll be able to see what I’m currently guessing will be a nightmare on April 16, 2021.
