Tom Cruise Confirms TOP GUN 2 Will Start Shooting Within the Next Year
I hope you are all ready to get back on the highway to the danger zone! Tom Cruise has officially confirmed that Top Gun 2 is happening. While appearing on the Australian TV morning show, Sunrise, he said that Top Gun 2 has moved past the development stage, and is ready for launch. He added the film company is "gonna start filming it probably in the next year." Just to help convince you further, you can hear the announcement from the mouth of the man himself.

A sequel has been in development for decades, ever since Top Gun was so successful at the box office, but sadly a second installment never quite took off. Then in January 2016, producer Jerry Bruckheimer hinted that the sequel was coming closer to becoming a reality when he tweeted a photo of himself with Tom Cruise.

There is no other information about casting, production dates and an official title.
What do you guys think about a Top Gun sequel? Aviation technology has changed so much since 1986, it will be interesting to see if this movie will focus on fighter pilots in actual aircraft or will they be flying drones?
