Tom Cruise is Still Running in This New Production Photo From MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7
Mission: Impossible 7 director Christopher McQuarrie has shared a new production photo from the film and, as you might expect, it features Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt… running. He’s always running! He’ll run until he’s dead. You can check out the image below:
We still don’t have any story details to share, but we do know that it’s going to involve some more epic stunts because that’s one of the main things that audiences can expect from these films. When previously talking about why this story was being split into two films, the director explained:
“When we went into making Fallout, I said to Tom, 'I really want to make this more of an emotional journey for [Cruise's character Ethan Hunt].’ Going into this, I said, 'I want to take what we learned from Fallout and apply it to every character in the movie. I want everyone to have an emotional arc. ... I just want the movie to have more feeling across the board.
"We realized we had a movie that was two hours, 40 minutes long. And every scene in it was necessary."
Hayley Atwell also stars in the film and it’s said that her character will play a major part in the story. She has been described as “a destructive force of nature” that will impact the core team in ways that will "evolve" the franchise.
Cruise is also joined in the film by Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep), Simon Pegg (Ready Player One), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Vanessa Kirby (Hobbs & Shaw), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not) along with newcomers Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War), and Esai Morales (La Bamba, Titans) as the villain.
Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8 were supposed to shoot back to back, but that’s no longer the case. Mission: Impossible 8 will shoot after Cruise finishes up his press for Top Gun: Maverick.
Paramount Pictures will release the film in theaters on November 19th, 2021 and 45 days later it will be released on Paramount+.
