Tom Cruise Reportedly in Talks To Join Dwayne Johnson's Action Film RED NOTICE
The upcoming Netflix action-thriller Red Notice already has an incredible cast with Dwayne Johnson, Gala Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds. Well, according to a new rumor another big actor is looking to join in on the fun and that actor is Tom Cruise.
According to The Illuminerdi, Cruise is in talks to make a cameo appearance in the film. But, that cameo is believed to set the stage for him to play a much bigger role in the sequel that they want to make. The report notes:
"If they are unable to come to a deal, the production is looking for a star of similar magnitude as Cruise. Which is a very short list of Hollywood stars."
The question is, will the cast be able to keep up with Cruise, who as you know is a madman that enjoys performing his own insane stunts. I’m a big fan of Cruise, so if he ends up joining that film, that would be pretty cool!
Red Notice is being directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber (Central Comedy, Skyscraper) from a script that he wrote.
The story for the film is set in the world of international crime with “Johnson’s character chasing after an art thief who has a Red Notice put out on them by Interpol, which is a global alert to hunt down and capture the world’s most wanted. Johnson will be playing the world’s greatest tracker. Gadot will be playing the world’s greatest art thief and Reynolds will be playing the world’s greatest con man.”
Red Notice started filming in January 2020, but was shut down after COVID-19 hit. There’s no word on when it will go back into production.
